Interview Attire
What do I wear?
You get only one chance to make a good first impression and what you wear is the most important part.
I recommend always dressing professionally for a job interview, even if the work environment is casual. When in doubt, over-dress.
Jeans and T-shirt versus a suit… no comparison.
There is no harm if the interviewer tells you take off the suit jacket as the office attire is casual. There is a problem if your interviewer is dressed in a suit and you walk in wearing jeans.
Important Tips
• Make sure the attire is professional, nothing flashy or revealing
• Have it ready at least one night before – no spots, stains or tears
• Comfortable – not baggy, not a size too small
• Polished shoes, minimal jewelry
• No smoking, no alcohol, carry breath mints and a mild perfume / cologne
